What to Camp In?

OK so we have done a few different methods of camping. We’ve been through many storms wondering what the damage will be in the end and if the kids were going to wake up from the thunder. For some reason I have enjoyed all methods that we have camped in. One thing when we camp we have to have electricity. I know you can buy generators or battery packs but what we use the battery packs for wouldn’t last long. Plus, we never would have had enough room to add a generator in the pile of stuff we bring. Plus most place have a place to at least wash up and we bring our own drinking water.

Tent Camping

Tent camping really isn’t that bad if you have the right tent and the right equipment. We had a very large tent with the option to put a dividing curtain up in the middle. It was large enough that you could easily blow up two queen mattress, setup a couple small fans, have your duffel bags, and we had a small toilet. Carry everything else in Rubbermaid bins. I had a small bin for food and bins that were smaller that had our silverware and other cooking utensils in. As the trip was getting closer to the end the bins would empty out, I could easily stack bins.

Cabin

A couple times over the years when the kids were little we stayed in the cabins at Jellystone Park. It was wonderful to have a roof over your head that you know isn’t going to leak when it down pours. Still having the amenities of a mini fridge and electricity.

Pop Up Camper

Then we upgraded to the pop up. Did we move into a castle? It felt like luxury after the tent camping. We had a microwave, stove, fridge, and storage. Best part we A/C!!! We don’t always use it for the heat or humidity. It’s too muffle the noise of the neighbor next door slamming their camper, car door, or the other hundreds of noise that happen camping.
